History

Ross Empire State Brokers was Founded in 1946 by Ralph Ross representing the Frank H Fleer Company, a company we continue to represent today.  From 1946 to 1984, the company continued to grow and prosper under the direction of Mr. Ross.  In 1984, F&R Sales, owned by Donald Falkowitz, merged into Ross Empire State Brokers.  In 2000 Donald Falkowitz purchased the stock of Ralph Ross and became sole owner of the company.

Upstate Confectionery Sales, Inc, is the successor to the Zimmerman Sales Co, a Confectionery Brokerage Firm that was founded in 1938 in Upstate New York. The corporation's focus has evolved over the last 60 plus years, adding consumer products to the main stays of confectionery products. 

In 2006 Ross Empire State Brokers and Upstate Confectionery Sales, Inc merged to form Ross Upstate Sales & Marketing, Inc to better serve our customers and the companies we represent.  Ross Upstate Sales and Marketing, Inc is a statewide marketing and sales organization representing confectionery, food, general merchandise and health and beauty care manufactures.
